This site is dedicated to my personal photography, focused on the cemeteries and communities of Northern Illinois that I’ve explored (and occasionally beyond). Also serving as a home for written musings / lists and other creative projects - all driven by the love of making art, the challenge of creativity / storytelling, and pure endless curiosity.


I’ve been toying around with photography for over 30 years, ever since my parents gave me a film camera at when I was 8. They encouraged me to use it freely on our family road trips across the Midwest and the upper South. I’ve been refining my craft ever since, taking a more serious approach beginning in late 2020.


As a personal preference / convenience, I primarily use an iPhone 12 for my photography explorations. Also occasionally shoot with a Canon EOS Rebel T7 (paired with a 75–300mm zoom lens) and a Nikon Coolpix B700.


Writing creatively off and on since 1998, and was a student journalist in college between 2006 - 2009.
